I ran an experiment with the free plan of Lumen5.
I have a wish to produce some more videos.
But I have to admit that I currently do not have the resources to do so.
I lack decent video and sound equipment and writing the articles for this blog is already quite time-consuming.
I then had the idea of taking some of my posts and using these as a basis.
Basically, creating videos with the key points from the post. But also that required some work.
I stumbled upon Lumen5, an online tool that enables you to do just that. Turn your blog posts into a video by importing the post and creating scenes with the key points in the text.
The free plan will add a watermark at the end of the video. I can live with that, given that this is an experiment.
I decided to try and turn my latest post about digital media into a video and uploaded it on YouTube.
You can see the result here.
It is not too bad, I think. But some scenes may need reworking.
Perhaps, it could also be a good tool for the online classroom?
Let me know, what you think.
