The U.S. Is a Shining Example of Another Kind of Fascism
The will of the people is never reflected in politics.
I am not even going to claim superiority for living in Europe. In fact, the main problem is that our leaders always want to emulate the U.S. as much as possible. This is worrying. Because the U.S. bears all the hallmarks of fascism. We should abandon the myth about the U.S. being an example to follow.
indi.ca wrote an excellent piece about the massive American police state.
Yet this great armed force decided to stand idly by, as a shooter decided to use small kids for target practice. They did absolutely nothing to stop it. In fact, they even made the job easier for the shooter by tasering parents who wanted to step in and rescue the kids. Now that is oppressive AF if you ask me. If being afraid to send your kids to school isn’t a sign of fascism, I don’t know what is.
On no fundamental issue is the will of the people honored. The vast majority of Americans want common-sense gun laws. But it will never happen. Because the political elite will keep oppressing the will of the people. In favor of the arms industry.
The vast majority want their leaders to act on climate change. But those leaders cater to the fossil fuel lobby. And those fossil fuel companies have great expansion plans. So great in fact, that they will nullify any action we currently have taken on Climate Change. Globally.
Again, the will of the people is oppressed by the fascist political elite.
The majority of Americans also think that it would be great not to go bankrupt when they go to a doctor. Their leaders respond as usual.
The Pharma and Insurance Industry calls the shots on this one. And hey, it is okay to buy your politicians. The ‘independent’ Supreme Court justices said so. It must be true.
Fascism Can Take on Many Forms.
The U.S. is indeed the world leader. The world leader in how to create a capitalist fascist state. Politicians in other western countries are doing their best to learn. Those are dark times ahead of us.
When I went to school, I was indoctrinated. About how capitalism and democracy were natural companions. Nothing could be further from the truth. History shows us, that capitalists are happy with fascist regimes.
It was also the capitalists who backed the Nazis in 1930s Germany. The cheap labor from the concentration camps was great for profits. And the worst horror they could imagine is that the working class would get their will.
History is repeating itself. The U.S. is the clearest example of how fascism is the end stage of capitalism.
